Terms of service

These terms govern use of the Quarternd fund administration software (the "Service") by a fund, general partner, or fund manager (the "Customer") during the design partner period described on this site. During this period the Service is provided at no cost in exchange for the Customer's participation described below.
1. The design partner relationship
Customer agrees to provide fund documents and historical books needed to configure the Service, to give feedback for approximately one to two hours per month, and to notify Quarternd promptly of anything that appears incorrect. Quarternd agrees to operate the Service in good faith and to correct errors as quickly as reasonably possible.
2. Ownership of data
Customer retains ownership of all fund data entered into or generated by the Service. On termination, Quarternd will provide an export of Customer's ledger, statements, and records within 30 days.
3. No investment or accounting advice
The Service performs computations based on data and rules the Customer provides or confirms. It does not provide legal, tax, or investment advice, and Customer remains responsible for the accuracy of figures reported to its limited partners.
4. Confidentiality
Each party will keep the other's confidential information confidential and use it only to perform under these terms.
5. Termination
Either party may end the design partner relationship at any time with written notice. Sections on data ownership and confidentiality survive termination.
6. Limitation of liability
During the design partner period, the Service is provided as is, without warranty, to the extent permitted by law. A definitive commercial agreement, including liability terms appropriate to a paid engagement, will be executed before any fund relies on the Service beyond the design partner period.

This policy describes how Quarternd collects and uses information from visitors to this site and from design partner funds using the Service.
Information from this site
The application form on this site collects name, email, firm, fund size, fund number, current administration arrangement, and free-text responses submitted voluntarily. This information is used only to evaluate design partner applications and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
Analytics
This site uses privacy-preserving analytics that do not use cookies or track individuals across sites. Three events are recorded in aggregate: a hero figure clicked, the mismatch demo toggled, and the application form submitted.
Fund data
Fund data entered into the Service by a design partner belongs to that fund and is used solely to operate the Service for that fund. Quarternd may use anonymized, aggregated operational patterns, stripped of fund and investor identity, to improve the accuracy and coverage of its computation engines. Any such use is described in full in the design partner agreement before a fund's data is used this way.
Retention and deletion
Fund data is retained for as long as the design partner relationship continues, plus the export period described in the terms of service. A fund may request deletion of its data after export is complete.
